Caveesh: “Architecture is the learned game, correct and magnificent, of forms assembled in the light.” – Le Corbusier. I have spent the first part of my career studying Architecture for five years, and I learned my Bachelor in Architecture degree from the University of Cape Town, and worked for a handful of architects around Mauritius for around two years before embarking on my Masters Degree in Architecture at the University of Johannesburg. During my masters, I had the opportunity to work with Domus Africa, and an opportunity (not yet seized!) to have an entry in the Encyclopedia of Vernacular Architecture of the World. After my studies, I set foot in the construction industry, only to discover my passion for the “Mauritian Architecture”, which is an amalgam of architectures joined together. That is why I started this blog, to express my views and opinions on the architecture around my country. So, if you are keen architect, or an aspiring architect like me, read along the blog!
